In our lab, we combine the expertise on high quality custom-ionic liquid (IL) synthesis with a targeted IL structural advancement for enabling these unique materials to improve chemical processes' efficiency and sustainability.
Our lab is located in Riga, Latvia, the EU country where the first-ever ionic liquid on 1914 was made by prof. Paul Walden. Since 2002, this research field in Riga has been re-established by Dr. hab. chem., prof. Andris Zicmanis (1941-2022).
As players of a multidisciplinary field, we work closely with the world-leading theoretical an experimental chemists. We are passionate about our work and always open to new collaborations.
